Couples therapy

Couples therapy for the arguments you keep having

Most couples who come to us still care about each other. They’re stuck in the same loop, or they’ve drifted, or something broke trust. Sessions give you both a fair hearing and a way to talk that doesn’t end in the same place.

When couples come in

Communication that turns into criticism or silence. Constant conflict over money, chores, parenting or sex. An affair or other breach of trust. Feeling more like roommates than partners. Deciding whether to stay together. You don’t need to be married, and you don’t need to be in crisis.

What sessions are like

We usually start with a joint session, then one individual session with each of you, so everyone has space to speak freely. After that we meet together, slowing conversations down so each of you feels heard, and practicing new ways to repair after conflict.

Nobody is on trial

We don’t take sides or decide who’s right. Our client is the relationship. Our job is to help you understand the pattern you’re both caught in, and what each of you can do differently.

Questions

Couples therapy: your questions

What if my partner isn’t sure about therapy?

That’s common. They’re welcome to join the free call too, to ask their own questions before agreeing to anything.

Can you help us decide whether to separate?

Yes. Some couples come to get clear on whether to stay together. We can help you make that decision carefully, and, if you separate, do it with less damage.

How long are couples sessions?

Sessions are [SESSION LENGTH], and the fee is [COUPLES FEE]. Some couples book longer sessions now and then for bigger conversations.

Reaching out is the hardest part.

A free 15-minute call is a low-stakes way to start. Ask your questions, hear how we work, and decide in your own time.
